The US, Egypt and Qatar have led talks aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza and enabling the release of hostages held by Hamas. “President [Joe] Biden spoke today to President [Abdel Fattah] El Sisi of Egypt and to Emir [Sheikh] Tamim of Qatar,” Mr Blinken said.
