Denmark, Greece, Slovenia, the UK and France urged Israel on Wednesday to “immediately” let humanitarian assistance flow into the Gaza Strip. “We call on Israel to abide by its obligations under international law and to allow and facilitate the safe, unconditional, massive and handling delivery of humanitarian aid at scale, as well as to ensure the protection of civilians and other protected persons,” the countries said in a joint statement. “Other protected persons” includes humanitarian workers, many of whom have been killed during aid operations in Gaza.
