BRUSSELS: The European Union on Monday placed ChatGPT, Reddit and Roblox under stricter digital oversight, citing their broad impact on users and society. The platforms will face additional obligations under the bloc’s Digital Services Act, including measures to address illegal content, risks to minors, public safety and electoral processes. The companies have four months to comply. The EU classified ChatGPT as a search engine to bring it within the law’s regulatory framework.
