LUCKNOW: An explosion at a firecracker factory in Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi district killed at least 11 people, including eight children, police said Monday. The blast caused several nearby houses to collapse, reportedly killing residents aged between four and 13. Several others were injured, while the cause remained unclear. The incident highlights recurring industrial safety concerns in India, where poor compliance and weak enforcement have contributed to previous fatal accidents at fireworks facilities.
