On Thursday, the European Union imposed a new round of sanctions on Russia. The embargoes expanded to import and export bans and blacklisted individuals over Moscow’s annexation of Ukrainian regions. The EU stated that the sanctions were in response to Russia’s “further aggression against Ukraine.”
