Turkiye’s president says he will have a phone call with Putin on Monday to discuss peace efforts in Ukraine, adding that he would also ask him to restart a deal for the safe passage of grain over the Black Sea. Speaking at a news conference after the G20 summit in South Africa, Erdogan said Turkiye would do its utmost to open the path to peace in Ukraine, adding that he will share with European and US leaders and allies the outcomes of his conversation with Putin.
