The Democratic Republic of Congo is facing its deadliest Ebola outbreak, with more than 7,000 cases and nearly 3,400 deaths reported. The epidemic began in Ituri province before spreading to conflict-affected areas with limited healthcare access. Authorities recently confirmed infections in South-Ubangi, the seventh affected province. Officials say 1,671 patients have recovered since the outbreak began in May.
