Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has voiced criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu , a day after he announced that the country would recognise a Palestinian state. Mr Albanese said it was Mr Netanyahu and his government’s refusal to listen to allies that led to Australia’s decision. “He again reiterated to me what he has said publicly as well, which is to be in denial about the consequences that are occurring for innocent people,” he told ABC about a phone call with Mr Netanyahu last week.
