At least 90,530 people have been reported as newly displaced in Lebanon, including about 40,000 in 283 shelters since Monday, the UN said on Wednesday. The previous number of internally displaced people reported in Lebanon from October 2023 to September 19 was 111,696, the UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said in a statement. “Humanitarian organisations urgently require at least $170 million to sustain ongoing response and respond to new needs,” it added.
