The UAE said a temporary international mission was needed in Gaza after the war and renewed calls for “concerted efforts” to end the conflict. Establishing security, stability and ending human suffering in Gaza “should begin with the establishment of a temporary international mission at the official invitation of the Palestinian government – led by a new prime minister with high competence, credibility and independence”, Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Co-operation, said in a statement.
