Pakistan Army troops thwarted an infiltration attempt by Afghan Taliban fighters and Fitna al-Khawarij militants in the Thal sector along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border late last night. Ground and aerial operations are continuing under Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, targeting Afghan Taliban elements and Fitna al-Khawarij militants involved in the cross-border incursion. In a swift counter-action, Pakistani forces reportedly seized control of an Afghan Taliban post in Afghanistan’s Paktika province and hoisted the national flag at the site.
