The Peruvian government has said that police and soldiers would soon move to dismantle roadblocks on the nation’s highways erected by protesters who have demanded the resignation of President Dina Boluarte. Lima says traffic remains blocked in eight of the Andean country’s 25 regions, blaming roadblocks for many deaths and shortages of basic goods.
