Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday briefed President Arif Alvi on the country’s overall economic situation, the Finance Division said. During the meeting, the federal finance minister briefed the president on “the overall economic situation of the country, and the steps taken by the government to provide relief to the most vulnerable segments of society”. The statement mentioned that various matters concerning finance, economy, and rehabilitation of flood affectees were also discussed during the meeting.
