Peshawar: On Monday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government presented a Rs1,332 billion “balanced budget” for the financial year 2022-23. It included an allocation of Rs1108.9 billion for settled districts and Rs223.1 billion for merged tribal districts. Finance Minister Taimur Salim Jhagra announced an increase of 15% in salaries and a 16% rise in the pension of government employees.
