Islamabad: On May 24, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif apologized for the raid at the residence of Justice (retired) Nasira Iqbal stating that the government had nothing but respect for her. In his speech during the National Assembly session, the defense minister apologized for the excessive use of force during the raid at the retired judge’s residence. “If a political worker repeats the same language as their leader, then they negate their political identity. A political worker does not use words such as jalao gherao (vandalism),” he said explaining the reason behind raids.
