On April 10, Pope Francis called for an Easter truce in Ukraine following his Palm Sunday Service where tens of thousands gathered in St. Peter’s Square. Pope said, ” Let an Easter truce start, but not to rearm and resume combat but a truce to reach peace through real negotiations.” He has been making efforts to persuade both sides for peace.
