On Tuesday, following talks with his Russian and Ukrainian peers, French President Emmanuel Macron declared that any resolution of the Ukraine crisis might yet take months. Macron had an hours-long meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin a day earlier to ensure that “there’s no degradation and no [further] escalation.” He also met with Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv on Tuesday and added it was crucial to lowering the tension.
