As tensions over Moscow’s military buildup on Ukraine’s border continued to simmer, the US warned that a Russian invasion would be “horrific” for both sides and urged for a diplomatic solution.

Top US officials spoke at the Pentagon on Friday, advocating a focus on diplomacy but claiming that Russia now has enough troops and weapons in place to threaten the entire country.
