On Friday, two police officers were remanded in custody, while Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah ordered the suspension of Courts SSP Azam Durrani after it was revealed that a suspect in the kidnappings of Bisma Saleem and Dua Mangi had escaped.

According to the incident’s first information report (FIR), Zohaib Ali Qureshi, one of the suspects in the 2019 kidnappings, appeared in court on Thursday. Qureshi and the police officers who accompanied him to the hearing stopped at a mall where the accused “wanted to shop,” but he fled.
