Sources in the health ministry informed news channels that three new COVID-19 cases of the Omicron variant were reported from Islamabad on Wednesday.

The overall number of Omicron infections in the federal capital now stands at 20, according to the newly discovered cases.

According to sources close to the situation, the people who live with the new Omicron patients, as well as others who came into contact with them, are being traced.

On December 25, the first case of Omicron variant was reported in Islamabad.
