President Joe Biden cautioned Americans not to panic amid a rise of cases threatening further social disruption on Monday, as US health officials halved the recommended isolation time for patients with asymptomatic COVID-19

Biden warned that while certain US hospitals may be “overrun” due to the quickly spreading Omicron variety, the country is generally well prepared to deal with the latest spike.
