According to Minister for Economic Affairs Omar Ayub, Islamabad and Beijing are entering the next phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which would see Special Economic Zones (SEZs) constructed across the country.

He said SEZs will help attract foreign direct investment (FDI) and build industrial units, speaking at a virtual meeting of the Pakistan-China Joint Committee on Economic, Trade, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation on Wednesday.
