On Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan has decreed an inquiry against a senior joint secretary of the Cabinet Division for posting “offensive comments” against the ruling on a social media platform. According to a statement issued by the Establishment Division, Hammad Shamimi (BS-21 officer) had posted a statement on a social media page that was equivalent to misconduct under the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020.
