On November 19, A Karachi court ruled the National Database and Registration Authority’s (Nadra) Sindh director to block the national identity card of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MPA Malik Shehzad Awan and all other suspects fleeing in a case of alleged torture of a citizen. Asif Raza Meer, Judicial magistrate issued the decree and instructed the Nadra officer to submit a compliance report at the next hearing. He also instructed the police to imprison the suspects as soon as possible.
