Afghanistan: The Islamic Emirate has nominated 43 new people to government positions in 17 provinces, including governors, deputy governors, and police chiefs.

For Herat’s five Shindand districts, the new appointments included 17 new province governors, 15 deputy provincial governors, 10 provincial police chiefs, and one security head.

The Islamic Emirate’s spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, claimed the new appointments were issued following a directive from Taliban leader Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada.
