Khartoum: On Tuesday, Sudan’s leading general Abdel Fattah al-Burhan upheld the army’s usurpation of democratic govt citing the civil war threat. He also indicted politicians of provocation against the armed forces during his first press conference after the takeover. “The threats we noticed last week could have directed the country into civil war,” he stated.
