Qatar’s Ministry of Transport has issued a public safety notice urging “owners and users of maritime vessels, including leisure boats, fishing boats, jet skis and all other maritime vessels” to temporarily suspend sailing and all forms of maritime activities until further notice. The statement issued on X follows Iranian attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait on Sunday after the US. On Sunday, Qatar said one of its citizens on a vessel which went missing off the coast was killed after sustaining injuries from shrapnel due to “military operations in the area”.
