Hamas condemns settlers setting fire to West Bank mosque

The Palestinian group has denounced Israeli settlers for setting fire to a mosque in the village of Jiljilya near Ramallah. The group also slammed recent attacks on the property of Palestinians “in various governorates of the West Bank”, saying Israeli actions represent “a dangerous escalation in their ongoing aggression against our people, land, and holy sites”. “These Zionist crimes reveal the extent of the extremism and hatred that govern the behaviour of these unhinged gangs, who will find nothing but a firm response and continued confrontation from our people and their resistance”, a statement said.
