It is reported that Africa’s fabled eastern glaciers would evaporate in two decades leading to imminent drought, floods or extreme heat on 118 million poor people. The UN climate agency warned that climate change could also cut three percent off continental GDP by 2050. The report on the state of Africa’s climate by the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), the continent would be unable to adapt to increasingly periodic weather catastrophes.
