As we’ve been reporting, Israel says it will revoke the Israeli citizenship of two Palestinians it has accused of carrying out attacks. Here’s a quick look at the Palestinian population in Israel: Palestinians make up about 20 percent of Israel’s overall population of about 10 million people. Most are descendants of Palestinians who remained inside Israel when it was founded in 1948. About 750,000 Palestinians were ethnically cleansed at that time, forced to seek shelter in the occupied West Bank, Gaza, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon.
