Hamas has said it has received “ideas” from the US, through mediators, to reach a ceasefire. In a statement released late on Sunday, the group stated that it “remains in constant contact with mediators to develop these ideas into a comprehensive agreement that meets the demands of its people.” The group expressed its “readiness to immediately sit at the negotiating table to discuss the release of all prisoners in exchange for a clear declaration of ending the war, a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and the formation of a committee of independent Palestinians to run the Gaza Strip and to start its work immediately.”
