Israeli police say a “known anti-government protester” in her 70s has been arrested for conspiring to assassinate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “As part of her efforts to advance and act on these intentions, the suspect reportedly approached other protest activists in an attempt to obtain weapons and enquired about the Prime Minister’s security arrangements,” a police statement said. A report from Israeli broadcaster Kan said the woman was arrested two weeks ago and that terror charges are set to be brought against her on Thursday.
