Organisers of the Gaza aid boat carrying activists, including Greta Thunberg, say they have not had any contact with the 12 crew members since they were intercepted by the Israeli military. In an update on Monday, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition said its lawyers in Palestine had “repeatedly contacted Israeli military officials” but received no response since the early hours of the morning. The organisers do not know the whereabouts of the crew. “According to the Israeli Immigration Authority, they are not yet in custody,” a statement said. The crew of the yacht, called Madleen, defied an Israeli order to turn back as the ship made a symbolic attempt to reach Gaza.
