Speaking about Iranian negotiators, the US President said “they want to make a deal, I just don’t think they’re ready yet”. “Sometimes, they don’t want to say they want to make a deal, they want to be the tough guys”, he added, dismissing the latest rhetoric from Iranian officials which has been escalatory in tone. “As we speak, we’re talking to them,” Trump said, adding that there may not be a need to carry out the “massive” attack on Iran that he’s been threatening in recent days.
