At least 855 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel resumed large-scale strikes on March 18, the enclave’s Health Ministry said on Thursday. The figure included 25 people killed in the past 24 hours, it added. The ministry also reported that the overall death toll had reached 50,208 since the war began on October 7, 2023. Last week, Israel ended a two-month ceasefire by resuming bombing and ground operations, increasing pressure on Hamas to free the remaining hostages.
