Despite an Israeli ban on UNRWA operating in Israel and occupied East Jerusalem, the agency says it is continuing to deliver relief “at full scale” in Gaza. With 7,000 staff on the ground, the agency is helping to bring food to 1.2 million Palestinians in the enclave, while setting up thousands of daily health assessments, it says. “UNRWA must be supported to continue as a key implementer of the fragile ceasefire deal,” said UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini.
