Israeli fire kills Lebanese soldier and injures another

A Lebanese Army soldier was killed and another injured when Israel fired on them in southern Lebanon on Sunday, the LAF said. In the village of Maroun El Ras, a transmission engineer working for Russia Today was injured when Israeli opened fire on their reporting team. Israeli fire had already killed three civilians and injured more than 40 people as residents tried to return to their homes on Sunday as a 60-day deadline for Israeli troops to withdraw from south Lebanon expired.
