Israeli forces on Thursday demolished the office of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in Nur Shams camp, east of Tulkarm, Wafa news agency reported. The head of the Nur Shams camp services committee, Nihad Al Shawish, told Wafa that Israeli bulldozers demolished the UNRWA office in the middle of the camp. Mr Al Shawish said the camp has two UNRWA schools, one for girls and the other for boys, which serve 1,536 pupils, according to data for the 2022-2023 academic year.
