US anti-ballistic missile system arrives in Israel

US troops arrived in Israel with an anti-ballistic missile defence system on Monday, the Pentagon has confirmed. “Yesterday, October 14, an advance team of US military personnel and initial components necessary to operate the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) battery arrived in Israel,” the Pentagon press secretary Maj Gen Pat Ryder said in a statement.
