Israel’s opposition leader Yair Lapid said on Thursday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had seemed uninterested when senior officials warned of a potential Hamas attack in the lead up to October 7. Speaking at a hearing of the civilian inquiry meeting into the Hamas-led assault, Mr Lapid said Mr Netanyahu appeared “bored and indifferent” during a meeting warning that militant groups would take advantage of political instability to stage an attack.
