Bahrain unveiled a national energy strategy to reach “the climate targets the kingdom pledged to achieve at Cop26”. The “clear, credible, and responsible pathway” aims to lower emissions by 30 percent by 2035 and to reach net zero by 2060. The strategy is “the product of genuine collaboration between government and industry” and will build on the country’s aims to decarbonize the economy while ensuring growth, according to the state-run Bahrain News Agency.
