An attempted incursion by two drones on a US military base in Al Tanf region, in Homs governorate, eastern Syria, was thwarted by the base defence system, an Iraqi government source reported. A group called the “Islamic resistance in Iraq” earlier on Wednesday claimed it targeted this base with two drones. The Al Tanf military outpost lies close to the Syrian border with Iraq and Jordan.
