Israel’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has instructed his ministry to halt funds to the Palestinian Authority, claiming it supported the Hamas attacks on Israeli settlement. Far-right politician Smotrich said he is also urging the Israeli cabinet to re-evaluate its policy on the transfer of funds to the authority, which governs parts of the occupied West Bank. “I would like to inform you that I have instructed the Finance Ministry to stop the transfer of payments this month,” Smotrich wrote to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to the report.
