Sadiq Khan, London Mayor, requested the legislative council to make misogyny a hate crime and include harassment into criminal offenses. “We do have an epidemic when it comes to violence against women and girls,” he reiterated. He also stated that more than 150 women were killed at the hands of men in a year.
