Politicians, student unions, and members of civil society expressed their solidarity with protesting journalists against the proposed Pakistan Media Development Authority (PMDA) bill. the journalist started the protest on Sunday by marching from the National Press Club to Parliament House. Former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Marriyum Aurangzeb and MNA Mohsin Dawar visited the protest site on Sunday while Senator Sherry Rehman and Raza Rabbani , Aurangzeb and Ahsan Iqbal visited the protest camp on Monday.
