Thirty-one premature babies had been evacuated from Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza by the UN team, the Palestinian Health Ministry said. The babies would be taken to Egypt for treatment, said ministry spokesman Mehdat Abbas. The Palestinian Red Crescent also worked to evacuate the infants. “Today, PRCS emergency medical services teams, in coordination by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), successfully evacuated 31 premature babies from the Al-Shifa Hospital,” it said on X.
