A high-level delegation of the World Bank visited PIA and praised its efforts for the safe withdrawal of World Bank members and their families amidst US withdrawal from Afghanistan. Hartwig Schafer, Vice President of South Asian Region, World bank also sent a letter to CEO PIA, Arshad Malik for the ‘humanitarian act of highest cause’.
