Geneva: On Dec 3, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) chief scientist prodded people not to panic over the emergence of the Omicron coronavirus variant. He said that it would be too early to tell if vaccines would be needed to be reworked. Conversing with the Reuters Next conference, Soumya Swaminathan told it was impossible to predict if Omicron would become the dominant strain.
