Islamabad: Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial on Thursday remarked that the court had the utmost respect for the parliament and issued notices to President Arif Alvi, PM Shehbaz Sharif, and others during the hearing of petitions challenging a bill clipping the powers of the chief justice. An eight-member bench of the Supreme Court heard the petitions challenging the Supreme Court (Practice and Procedure) Bill 2023.
