US Central Command said it had intercepted an anti-ship missile heading towards the Red Sea. “Iranian-backed Houthi militants fired one anti-ship cruise missile from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen toward the Red Sea,” it posted on the X social platform. “The missile was shot down by USS Gravely,” it added. Centcom reported that there were no injuries or damage from the incident.
